A career conversation is a two-way chat. We identify your skills, talents and goals. We also identify what you know you don’t want to do in life. Maybe this is the first time you will articulate these ideas with someone who makes no judgments about your dreams.
For school students, this could be all about subject selection, ATAR and VET options and the possibility of a gap year! It could be starting from scratch because everything is uncertain. For parents, it might be about how to begin a career conversation without creating tension and overwhelm for everyone. It could also be understanding the changing labour market!
For university students, we could chat about why you want to change your course of study, maybe you want to clarifying your purpose, or work out how your academic skills fit into the workplace.
Everyone’s career journey is unique, but everyone is on a journey. Having a career conversation about where you are now can empower you to make smart decisions in the future.

In this session, we can identify skills, talents, values and goals. We can target those obstacles in your path and develop powerful coping and resiliency strategies for when things don’t go to plan. Let’s work through the “I have no idea what I want to do” conundrum.

In this session, we can locate where you are on your tertiary education path. We can identify what obstacles you are facing and what solutions might be available. We can also explore other study and career options and start positioning you for employability.

I can provide you with some strategies and resources to help you start a career conversation with the young adult in your life. This can include navigate subject decisions, identifying jobs of the future and overcoming overwhelm about the future.
