Extensive national research shows that the LGBTIQA+ community experience greater discrimination in the workplace and during recruitment and selection processes. Within the workplace, many people report feeling unsafe due to bullying, harassment or assault. This has a direct and negative impact on wellbeing and mental heath and career satisfaction.

However, there are organisations who actively engage in and promote inclusive initiatives within the workplace and throughout the recruitment and selection process.
